That’s right - no surcharges, no hidden fees and no surprise bills after we get you back on your feet and feeling better than ever. There’s only one thing you’ll want to know - whether your injury is covered under ACC.

We make ACC simple!

The good news is that we take care of all of the paperwork for you. As ACC providers, we’re well versed with musculoskeletal injuries and their place under ACC. We know exactly what is required of you and of us, so make the process quick and simple - because the last thing you need while in pain from a tear in your shoulder is more paperwork and an uncertainty as to whether you’ll be covered. We provide you with any forms you need to fill out during your appointment and take care of the rest ourselves - meaning there’s no 10-page questionnaire for you to struggle through at home.

From the moment you book in to make your appointment, we’ll almost immediately be able to advise you whether your injury will be covered under ACC. After assessing the extent of your injury at your first appointment, we’ll be able to discuss the best treatments, how to get the fastest recovery and how ACC will work for your rehabilitation.

If you want to know more about ACC and your injuries, we’ve answered a few FAQ’s here:

1. Who is covered under ACC?
If you’re a permanent New Zealand resident and you’ve sustained a physical injury, then there’s a good chance you’ll be covered by ACC. The key is that it needs to be a physical injury from an accident, like a sprained ankle or a wrist fracture, as opposed to a condition that develops over time, like knee pain from osteoarthritis that has caused the knee to degenerate over time.

2. What about injuries that have been happening over time from work?
If your heavy lifting at work has resulted to damage to the involved muscles over time, then you’re likely still covered. Things you’re exposed to overtime at your workplace and in your work environment can still be covered under ACC and we can help you determine this at your appointment.

3. Does ACC cover all of PhysioConnect’s health disciplines or just physiotherapy?
ACC provides cover for all our current services - physiotherapy, podiatry and acupuncture.

4. Does ACC cover injuries sustained outside of New Zealand?
If you’re a New Zealand citizen and your trip duration is less than 6 months then yes it can be covered by ACC.
